The problem
Renew Home's policy team researched complex utility questions by hand. One brief could take an analyst most of a day. The team needed a repeatable way to use its own documents and live sources without losing citations or open questions.
What Martian built
Our earlier workshop grew into a software engagement. Haavn AI brokered and shaped the requirements. Martian built a Slack command that starts the research, reports progress in the channel, and delivers a finished Google Doc in Renew Home's format. We host and operate the queue-backed service.
How it works
Specialist agents examine different parts of an energy-policy question in parallel. They use documents supplied by the team and live web research. A synthesis step reconciles conflicting findings, preserves figures and citations, and flags questions that need follow-up.
Result
The policy team uses the agent multiple times a week. It has produced more than 100 utility briefs. Each takes about 15 minutes, compared with research that previously took an analyst most of a day.
